As vehicle space becomes more limited and car audio enthusiasts get older, a solution was needed that allowed for all the benefits of high performance sound without sacrificing room for golf bags, groceries, and strollers. The RT8PT is that solution, available from the inventor of the mobile subwoofer enclosure, MTX.
This 8” tuned and ported subwoofer system increases low frequency impact without sacrificing your trunk space. It includes a built-in 120W RMS amplifier and variable low pass crossover of 50-200Hz and can be connected to most any factory or aftermarket head units without the need for any additional bulky, costly equipment.

RoadThunder Amps
“One of the advantages of being a globally recognized brand is the shared resources available from around the world that allow us to provide quality products to our dealers and customers,” says Jamie Trentacoste, National Sales Manager for MTX. “These RT amplifiers have been wildly successful in our European and South American markets, and since the MTX RoadThunder line has always been known as an over-performing, value driven line, these models are perfect to continue the tradition.”

Five new amplifiers that have been tried and tested overseas will be available domestically this year. They are defined by small footprints, powerful output, robust feature sets, and their extreme value. Each model is convection cooled using an extruded aluminum top cover/heatsink with a brushed aluminum finish.

RoadThunder amplifier series:
-RT1000D – Class D mono block amplifier, up to 1000W RMS
-RT500D – Class D mono block amplifier, up to 500W RMS
-RT250D – Class D mono block amplifier, up to 250W RMS
-RT602 – Class A/B 2-channel amplifier, up to 90W RMS per channel
-RT604 – Class A/B 4-channel amplifier, up to 90W RMS per channel

RoadThunder Subwoofers
MTX has also created a completely new line of RoadThunder subwoofers to work flawlessly in conjunction with these amplifiers. The RT subs will replace the TR55 series as an entry level offering in MTX’s performance-based subwoofer lineup. They feature Spider Plateau Venting to mechanically draw targeted, cool air to the voice coil while at the same time forcing accumulated warm air away from the voice coil and the Asymmetrical Linear Drive System that incorporates a progressive spider and an extended pole piece to ensure the subwoofer moves properly in a constant linear motion.

The Terminator models will replace the XThunder series and offer improved cosmetics, acoustics, and include a new 4" x 6" model. These speakers are a must have for any dealer, especially one that is looking for a performance alternative to entry level offerings from head unit manufacturers that offer poor performance from their value speaker lines. Excellent price points and performance characteristics make the Terminator series the best choice in their class.
