FOR YOUR FIRST CAR AUDIO INSTALLATION

When have our own car audio installation always start to think about this: the greater the capital investment, the greater and the better the sound. Although as many will know this is not always true because many times we can have the best teams of the best brands but the connection or some little details can make that perfect sound becomes full of coins the machine moving. In this article we will discuss what is necessary for our first installation as simple improvements can make a facility a beacon for economic rumba phone.
The important thing is to identify the need
Many people invest heavily in a range which does not use expensive or half of the functions. It is important to know what you want, a simple sound to travel or a facility with a powerful sound for competitions.

The Radio
The choice of a good radio is essential if we want our team has a good sound car. Sometimes it is much better to opt for simple radios, which complicated audio workstations touch with a myriad of functions. Remember that most of the time we will be driving so a simple radio is a good choice. Although this has improved because many manufacturers like Pioneer and JVC radios tactile develop a simple interface optimized for drivers.

Clear that if we play well, we recommend a radio with a good set of EQ, 3 band on (Low, Mid and Treble) while more bands better. Many will agree with radios with USB input, the truth is very efficient and avoid waste and mess of discs. A good flash drive can hold all the music necessary for our rumba.

the speakers
As many know, the speakers are designed for different jobs based on the sound spectrum. The design is as important as the location of these, so we should not remain blind to the fact the most expensive buy but know they locate. Now discuss each to answer questions.

Speakers for low frequencies
We can say that is the main feature of musical sound and aesthetic. Clearly, without exaggerating the installation of low-frequency speakers gives it that touch of power and the sound quality that we seek. In the market there are many brands such as Kicker, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, among other presentations that vary according to the taste of each. But now, what matters is not simply buy the speaker, but unknowingly installed with the appropriate manufacturers' specifications in order to obtain full power.
Many people do not realize what is called the displacement of the speakers. Each speaker brings a displacement or volume which is necessary to work in a box. This displacement varies if the drawer is closed, or ventilated. Hence we notice is that we want to achieve more than the speaker sounds good, when the volume is distorted and does not give what he says. To find the displacement is necessary to resort to manual manufacturing found in the manufacturers' web pages and the documentation that comes with the speaker when it is purchased.

 Speakers for mid and high
To have a good musical spectrum is necessary to have a good combination of mid and treble. The commonly called "rafts" or 6x9 are of vital importance in the installation, as it is as if we had several speakers within oneself, that is, mid and treble combined into one.
Of course, the impediment is that the sound is not as clean as having means on one side and treble side. Although it is best recommended to try to get everything in separate ways.

The means are excellent and very good brands but some are very expensive, the important thing is to keep the ratio of expenses to not invest too much and falling short of cash and have not completed the installation.

Amplifiers or "Plants"
They are practically the heart of any audio installation but often buy high-power amplifiers without the great need. The power amplifiers must always be proportional to that required by the installation. This is known in the manuals seeing the amount of RMS speakers who need to operate.
Another problem with amplifiers is heat, are ringing and suddenly get hot and go out. If that happens it possible to place the amplifier in a place where air can circulate something and not suffocate. Some people add heat sinks to the amplifiers to avoid this problem.

Another issue that affects the amplifier's wiring, where possible using cable ORIGINAL SERIES, for the current and the output are of the highest possible quality.

The correct location is the secret

To achieve a perfect finish at frequencies in the graph below show how the elements should be located in the car audio installation.

In the front is advisable to place the treble and the low back, that will create a nice surround sound internal ideal for travel and listen on a long journey. Many to others in the rear 6x9 added to the trunk lid have a mobile holiday season.

New TToyota Camry Excels in Consumer Reports’ Tests, VW Passat Not So Much

Consumer Reports has just announced its latest test results. This time, the nonprofit organization put two brand-new, family sedans under its microscope – and while the one came up trumps, the other was a mixed bag. Starting with the new 2012 Toyota Camry, Consumer Reports tested three different models with a four-cylinder, a V6 and a Hybrid engine, all of which ranked amongst the best in their class.
As the magazines notes, compared to the model it replaces, the new Camry has a plusher interior, more responsive handling, improved ride and better fuel economy, with only the increased road noise and some cheap details tainting the overall picture.
In fact, while the 173HP 2.5-liter four-cylinder version ties with the Hyundai Sonata for best-in-class fuel consumption delivering 27 mpg (8.7 lt/100 km), the more powerful 268HP 3.5-liter V6 is just a smidgen more thirsty and, at 26 mpg (9.0 lt/100 km), beats most four-cylinder rivals.
The Camry Hybrid’s main disadvantage is that it has a slightly smaller trunk. Other than that, the qualities of the other versions combined with an average fuel economy of 38 mpg (6.2 lt/100 km), earns it not only the “Recommended” tag, but also the top spot in its class.
The second vehicle tested by CR is the all-new North American market 2012 VW Passat. The magazine says that while the Passat is a clean sheet design, its interior “feels more ordinary” compared to its predecessors and its handling is less agile.
“VW has made the redesigned Passat surprisingly similar to the Camry, but with so-so results”, said Consumer Reports’ Test Center director David Champion, who added that the 2012 Passat is too new to have reliability data.
The base 170HP 2.5-liter inline-five version was criticized for its "antiquated and gruff-sounding" engine and its 25 mpg (9.4 lt/100 km) combined fuel economy. The top-of-the-line 3.6-liter V6 version received much more positive comments thanks to its plusher interior and its smooth 280HP engine.
According to CR, though, it’s not the pick of the range: this title belongs to the 140HP, 2.0-liter TDI diesel model which unlike diesels of yore, is completely devoid of noise, smoke and exhaust smells. Its strongest point is its consumption: the 37 mpg (6.4 lt/100 km) average was quite impressive – though not as much as the 51 mpg (4.6 lt/100 km) it recorded on the highway.

From Consumer Reports press release:
Based on previous above-average reliability, the four-cylinder and hybrid versions of the updated Toyota Camry are Recommended, The previous Camry V6 has not been reliable enough for CR to currently recommend the updated model. The redesigned Volkswagen Passat is too new for Consumer Reports to have reliability data.
Consumer Reports only Recommends vehicles that have performed well in its tests, have at least average predicted reliability based on CR’s Annual Auto Survey of its more than seven million print and Web subscribers, and performed at least adequately if crash-tested or included in a government rollover test.

Audi: CarThe Low-Down on the R8's Upcoming Facelift and 2014 Replacement

The first true supercar to be created by Audi, the R8, has won universal praise thanks to its handling, quality, every day usability and, in the V10-equipped model, performance numbers. Despite the fact that it wouldn’t seem out of place if it were launched today, the truth is that Audi’s mid-engined wonder is already five years old, having been introduced in 2006.
Therefore, its replacement is already being developed and is due in 2014, with the open-top Spyder model to follow the next year.
But first, the current R8 will receive an update in 2012. According to Car Magazine, the refreshed R8 will get a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox replacing the sequential six-speed unit, while the upgraded V10 will receive a small bump in power and the interior will sport the latest MMI multimedia interface.
The big news, as far as the first-generation R8 is concerned, is the launch of a limited-production electric version towards the end of 2012.
The British publication reports that the second generation R8 will differ in many ways from its predecessor. For one, the aluminum bodywork and chassis will be replaced by a new architecture which, while still aluminum-based, will also feature carbonfiber for the transmission tunnel, the B-posts and the rear firewall.
Total weight will be reduced by around 100 kg (220 lbs), while torsional rigidity will increase by 13 percent.
On the engine front, we won't see many changes as Audi is said to continue with its two naturally aspirated units. The base version will still be powered by a 4.2 V8, with its output bumped from 420 to 450HP, and the top version by a 5.2-liter V10 with 550HP.
However, down the road Audi may switch to the new turbocharged V8 that was recently unveiled in the Audi S7 and Bentley Continental GT, probably with a hike in power to 600HP.
As previously reported, the second generation R8 and the Gallardo's replacement will make use of Audi's MSS (Modular Sports car System) architecture, while the third generations of both models will employ a new platform developed primarily by Porsche.

The responsive torque output, a trademark of Ford EcoBoost engines, is maintained despite the impressive peak figures. Ford’s Global Performance Vehicles group has taken this technology and developed a 250PS high-output derivative of the 2.0-litre Ford EcoBoost engine for Focus ST.
The new 4-cylinder engine offers increased performance, but its smaller capacity and innovative technology also allow it to be more fuel efficient.

2013 Subaru BRZ

2013 Subaru BRZ Reviews & Pictures. Here is the Subaru BRZ. You can look at reviews, specs, prices & pictures Subaru BRZ in here. A few months ago in a Southern California hotel conference room, Subaru engineers told us about the 2013 Subaru BRZ sports car. (This was months before the concept BRZ was scheduled to make its debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in November, an event that will be followed closely by the official world debut of the production BRZ at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.)

To reduce cost, Subaru BRZ and Toyota will share nearly identical versions. The common parts bin includes one circa-200-hp, port- and direct-injected flat-four engine; two Aisin six-speed transmissions, including a manual and a conventional automatic; one basic interior; and one set of body stampings and glass. Badges, wheels, and some small trim items will be different. Last year, Toyota decided to sell U.S.-bound cars as Scions, so technically ?there will be three iterations of ?the AS1, including those sold as Toyotas in foreign markets where Scion doesn’t exist.

Subaru’s BRZ 4-cylinder boxer engine was chosen because it’s more compact than a “vertical” engine and can be positioned lower to drop the vehicle’s center of gravity as an aid to handling. Not surprisingly, then, the BRZ/FR-S chassis takes advantage of this by being an adaptation of Subaru’s front/all-wheel-drive Impreza platform. That means a 4-wheel independent suspension comprising front struts, rear double A-arms, and likely an antiroll bar at each end. Brakes should be good-size 4-wheel discs with ABS, though maybe not as large as the FR-S Concept’s 18-inch rotors.

The price target was the toughest of them all, says Masuda. The base sticker is expected to land at about $28,000. At that price, the engineering team had to resist the allure of weight-saving materials and turbos. “The goal was to keep it basic and make it a real handling car,” says Masuda. “Horsepower was not our focus. If you want horsepower, we have the STI.”
